Using AFAM to directly connect your buildings fire alarm system to FENZ means that your building is protected 24/7, even when no one is there. Our entirely automated system will monitor your fire alarm system and should a fire, or other event, occur we will notify FENZ electronically with full details of the event and the building. AFAM is a fully accredited provider with FENZ.
No Long Term Contract Required
Some of our competitors feel the need to lock you into a long term contract with onerous conditions around renewals and cancellations. We don't see the need to do that. At AFAM we're confident that the service we provide is efficient, cost effective, and that you'll enjoy the other benefits that come from connecting your fire alarm system with us.
Flexible Purchase & Invoice Options
AFAM can provide your fire alarm monitoring either direct to you, or via your fire alarm service agent. As building owners you will have been paying one company for the monitoring of your fire protection system and another for its maintenance and servicing. If you would prefer you can combine the two, so your Fire Alarm Service Agent can offer a complete service with one invoice. AFAM’s monitoring charge will be shown separately in your service agent's invoice. If you prefer to keep them separate then we're equally happy to invoice you directly.
Monitoring Additional Systems
Do you need to know when a door is opened, or a pump starts? What about when a temperature sensor activates? Power has been lost to a freezer? Low pressure in a pneumatic system? The CTU includes additional inputs which can be configured to alert just about anyone to just about anything often at no cost.
Streamlined Connection Process
We make connecting your fire alarm with AFAM a simple, hassle free, process. Contact us using the button below and one of our trained staff will answer your questions or start the connection process with you.
System Operation
How does it work?
AFAM arrange for a CTU to be installed in your building and connected to your fire alarm panel. The CTU monitors your fire alarm panel 24/7 for events. When an event occurs, such as a fire or fault, the CTU communicates with our Automated Monitoring System which then electronically:
- Notifies FENZ, who In the event of a fire will automatically dispatch a fire truck(s)
- Notifies your service agent so they are aware of the issue and can respond
- Notifies you, if you have elected to be notified
Event Notifications
Service agents and building owners have the option of receiving notifications via email, txt, or both. Each notification contains:
- Details about the event that's happened, when it's occurred, and the fire alarm system
- A link that allows direct access into our web portal. The portal shows more detailed information about the fire alarm system and its recent events.
Enhanced Fire Panel Information
Modern fire alarm panels provide rich detailed information on the current state and effectiveness of the fire protection system. When an event occurs such as a fire or fault, these panels are capable of providing very detailed information, often down to which detector in which room in a building has sensed an issue. AFAM have developed our systems so that they integrate with nearly all fire alarm panels able to give enhanced information. We make this information available to your fire alarm service agent so that they can ensure that your system is working optimally. When service agents have this information they're able to reduce false alarms and perform more targeted maintenance which saves time and money.
Reports
As well as event notifications via txt and email, and access to the mobile friendly web portal, AFAM has a library of automated reports available. These can be scheduled to be run at a time and frequency that suits you and will be emailed to you as a PDF. Included in the library are reports for both building owners and service agents and if we don't have a report in the library that suits your specific need we can often create one at no cost to you.
CTU Small Form Factor with In Panel Options
The CTU has been designed to integrate seamlessly with modern fire alarm panels. Multiple installation options exist for retrofitting the CTU to communicate with a fire alarm system. The CTU has been deliberately designed to have a small footprint which enables it to be installed in a small box alongside the fire alarm system. For some panels, it's possible to install the CTU inside the fire alarm panel itself saving both time and money during the installation process.
