​What is Enhanced / IoT Detector Level Information?

In last week’s newsletter and blog, we introduced Enhanced / IoT Detector-Level Information—what it is, and why it’s so valuable. If you missed it, you can catch up here.

How can I access it?

Through AFAM’s systems and services, accessing Enhanced / IoT Detector-Level Information is straightforward and intuitive.

Messaging and Paging

​Just like traditional high-level PFA and CTU state information, Enhanced / IoT Detector-Level Information can be delivered directly to you via text, email, or other supported messaging platforms.

You can set flexible rules—choose which systems, events, or time periods generate alerts.

The system respects ‘On Test’ functionality, so notifications can be paused for predetermined timeframes.

If your alerts are configured with a link into Solomon, one click takes you to the latest fire alarm state changes, along with keyholder and system details.

This screenshot shows an example of the Enhanced / IoT Detector-Level Information as displayed on a mobile device—making it quick and easy to see what’s happening, wherever you are.

AFAM AlarmTech App

Enhanced / IoT Detector-Level Information is also available in the AFAM AlarmTech App for any systems you’ve chosen to receive it on.

AFAM Property Portfolio Portal

We’ve recently released the AFAM Property Portfolio Portal, designed specifically for property owners and managers with larger portfolios. We’ll be sharing a detailed overview in the coming weeks, but here’s a preview of what’s possible.

When a property has Detector-Level IoT Information enabled, the portal allows you to:

• View live detector states and recent event history across the property.
• If floorplans are available and detectors have been placed on them, see the real-time status and history of each individual detector directly on the floorplans.

AFAM Solomon Service Agent Web Portal

​All of the information outlined above is also available to service agents through our Solomon web portal. Solomon works seamlessly on any web-enabled device—whether it’s a phone, tablet, laptop, or PC—so you can conveniently access the information from the device of your choice.

Automated Reporting

​The fifth way to access this information is through our library of automated reports. These reports provide both current system states and recent state histories for the fire alarm panels you manage. They can be scheduled to run on a recurring basis and are delivered in your choice of PDF or Excel format.
