Automatic Fire Alarm Monitoring Ltd (AFAM) is a New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) approved Fire Alarm Monitoring Service Provider.
Our prime role is to continuously monitor your buildings’ Fire Alarm System and automatically pass on any “fire” signals directly to the NZFS.
We also continuously check and monitor the reported “health” of your fire alarm system and its ability to send signals.
In the event that we receive an “off-normal” response we automatically send a message (pager, sms-text, etc) to your service company (responsible for maintaining your fire alarm system) for action.
Our system has been designed for maximum “up-time” reliability by using dual operating systems and dual communication paths (from your Fire Alarm System to AFAM, and also from AFAM to the NZFS).
We keep a record of the performance and activities affecting your Fire Alarm System. Your fire alarm service company has access to this information for audit or fault analysis purposes.
The AFAM system is not an adjunct to a Security Guards & Patrol Watch-room. It is a dedicated Fire Alarm Monitoring system devised to meet the needs of the NZFS and your fire alarm service company.
