Dedicated System
The AFAM alarm monitoring system was designed specifically to monitor fire protection systems to NZ Fire Service, standards and to meet the requirements of New Zealand fire protection companies. Although its main purpose is to send through Fire signals, the vast majority of signals are associated with the maintenance and servicing of fire protection systems. AFAM's alarm monitoring system enables your service agent to provide the most efficient and effective level of service; and one that will continue to evolve to meet changing needs.
Dedicated to Monitoring - Fire Protection
AFAM is not an adjunct to a Security Watch-room service. It is dedicated to providing Fire Protection monitoring.
No Long-term Service Contracts
Some building owners will have been obliged to enter into long term monitoring contracts when the NZFS appointed ADT-Tyco as the exclusive monitoring service provider. That arrangement is now at an end and AFAM are able to offer a 3-month contract. And you can cancel your contract at any time and are not tied to either AFAM or a particular service contractor.
One Invoice
AFAM provides its fire alarm monitoring service via your fire alarm service agent. As building owners you will have been paying one company for the monitoring of your fire protection system and another for its maintenance and servicing. Now you can combine the two. Your Fire Alarm Service Agent can now offer a complete service with one invoice. AFAM’s monitoring charge will be shown separately in your service agent's invoice.
Avoidance of “Demarcation” Problems
With your Fire Alarm service agent providing the monitoring of your fire alarm and its servicing, you only have to deal with one person thus avoiding the need for you to determine “who needs to sort out what problem” etc.
